So we have a problem, any part of the world that was loaded in 14w26a or b was corrupted, and a large majority of blocks have been removed... Me and Zenthion came to the conclusion we need to revert to a backup but unfortunately I have been building all of today (English time hence 5 or 6 hours of building )... not knowing what had happened :/ so we will need the backup made whatever the case, but if it would be possible I ask if my area of the world could be mcedited in? Just an added note, if anyone who didnt play in the last few days, I advise you dont for a bit to avoid losing any builds (especially if we cant get anything mcedited in)

When I was on earlier, TheMCN was telling us that some of the stuff at spawn had gone missing. I'm assuming the same thing has happened there too.

I am unsure what the overworld is like as I cant actually get there because netherrack is one of the blocks that was corrupted... hence no nether around spawn which happened to include the nether tunnel that I was riding down

I haven't seen any corruption at my base yet. Now I'm scared to check. I wonder if there is something that triggers the corruption since I haven't seen any.

Its simply if the chunk was loaded when the server was on the 14w26 a or b snapshots

Welp. I guess everything in a 300 block radius around my base is corrupted. Hope we have a backup from not that long ago.

Ok, guys. I am planning on restoring a backup I made just before updating to the new snapshots, but the only issue is that I can't view the backed up world until I delete the currently corrupted one, so I'm not entirely sure whether it'll be the right one or not. As it is now, we have two options. Do this, and hope that the right backup is there, or just do another restart.

Just what Sevansi and I were discussing. Going to try the backup now.

Can you not copy the current one and then try?

This is what the nether looked like. For the ones who haven't seen it. Basically ruins it. This was on the corrupted world.

Alright guys. So, it was not letting me access yesterday's backups, and today's have all been in the current snapshot. I really should have downloaded the world to my computer. Would have been the safer route. And the map was just too torn up. Spawn's animals were let out, the mine was a wee bit torn up, no trees, nether was terrible. I'm sorry to all of you who lost progress. It's the dangers of playing with snapshots. But I will back up the server map to my computer every time we update from now on, and then some. I'll make sure that this doesn't happen again. But for now, we are going to have to start a new map.

So Sevansi just brought up a point to me. Since we have to reset, do we want to arrange a more formal time for the reset, or just do it now?
